What can we expect quantum computers to be able to do that regular computers cannot? Where does this field stand right now and who are the major players? And most of all, why should regular individuals care about developments in this highly technical field? All these questions and more will be addressed. Bio Dr John Millam has a PhD in theoretical chemistry from Rice University.  Theoretical chemistry involves the development and use of computer programs to apply quantum mechanics to problems in chemistry.  He currently works as a programmer for Semichem ( www.semichem.com ).  Dr Millam is a Reasons To Believe trained apologist and member of the scholar community.
